YZONI R3 - 800LM Rechargeable Magnetic Hands-free EDC Flashlight

This portable EDC light is very lightweight and clipped to your shirt or belt buckle. It charges via USB. It has different lighting modes. You really can't ask for much more than that! This is a good value for the money and I would recommend this flashlight.

This is a solid EDC flashlight that packs a lot of functionality into a compact package. It's small enough to carry comfortably in a pocket while still providing plenty of light for inspections, repairs, camping, or everyday use.

The main spotlight offers high and low brightness modes, while the secondary side light includes bright white, low white, solid red, and flashing red/blue modes, making it useful for both general lighting and emergency situations. The light output is impressive for such a compact flashlight.
The USB-C rechargeable battery is convenient, and the magnetic base is strong enough to securely hold the flashlight on metal surfaces for hands-free work. I also like that the magnet is mounted flush with the top of the flashlight, allowing it to sit flat and securely against metal surfaces. The pocket clip itself also feels sturdy and well made.

My biggest criticism is the user interface. If the flashlight has been on for more than about 10 seconds, pressing the power button turns the light off instead of cycling brightness levels. Personally, I would have preferred requiring a 3-second press to turn the flashlight off, as that would make changing brightness levels feel more intuitive. Holding the button currently switches to the secondary lighting modes instead. I also found the clip orientation a little unusual. While the clip is sturdy, I would have preferred it to be mounted in the opposite direction so the flashlight rides with the light head above the clip when carried. That orientation would also make it more practical for clipping to the brim of a hat as a hands-free work light.

Overall, this is a well-built and versatile compact flashlight with good brightness, useful secondary lighting modes, USB-C charging, and a strong magnetic base. A few refinements to the controls and clip orientation would make an already very good flashlight even better.

This tiny EDC light arrived packaged simply in a retail box which included a USB charging cable and an instruction sheet. The light has a metal case and feels very rugged and durable. It features a strong metal clip on the back, lined with rubber, and which is also magnetic, but only strong enough to hold the light in vertical positions. It has a covered USB port and a rubber power button. The primary lens (spotlight) has three LEDs and offers three operating modes; high, low, and strobing. The secondary (floodlight) offers four modes; high, low, red light, and flashing blue/red emergency strobe.

To test the flashlights battery, I charged it fully then operated it continuously until the battery was depleted. The primary lens, set to low, lasted 3.5 hours (proceeded by about 30 minutes of rapidly fading). The secondary floodlight set to low lasted about 11 hours (also followed by an additional ~30 minutes of fading). Recharging averaged just under 2 hours.

Overall, this versatile and compact little light seems extremely sturdy, lights well, and has pretty decent battery life, considering its tiny size. It's also offered at a very reasonable price for the level of quality.

There are times when you need a small light. Flashlights are great, but this one clips on anything and also has a magnet to stick on anything. It is very small, but it is bright. I can clip it on my shirt and do things hands free. I did not turn it on in the photo that I took because it is blinding, it is so very bright. I love this size, easy to take anywhere. It seems to hold a charge well.

This is a clip on flashlight with magnet, and it can provide a spot light and area light in many tight spaces. it's great to have in your car for rummaging in the trunk at night. While bright enough for normal work it isn't really a long distance light source.

I'm very impressed with this flashlight. It's small and light and easy to attach to your clothes to free up your hands. The lights are very bright in the highest setting, surprisingly so. And you can toggle the brightness of the main flashlight. In addition, it has a secondary light that has a broader light coverage (not as bright, but illuminates a very wide area) that light too can be adjusted in terms of brightness and also can be used as a red light, or a blue/red strobe light. The quality and fit and finish is really outstanding. Premium metal, nice weight to it, magnetic back that attaches to metal easily and securely. I also love how small it is for travel. I brought it with me as my emergency light for international travel.

I've been really impressed with this little flashlight. It's incredibly compact and easy to carry, but don't let its size fool you'it packs a serious punch. The main flashlight has three modes: a super bright high setting, a lower brightness setting, and an intense strobe mode. The strobe is so powerful it will definitely get someone's attention if you ever need it in an emergency.

One feature I really like is the secondary light. A long press of the power button switches to it, and it has several useful modes of its own, including a bright white light, a dimmer white light, a red light for preserving night vision, and a flashing emergency mode with red, blue, and purple lights. There are a lot of lighting options packed into such a small flashlight.

The build quality is excellent. The body is all metal, so it feels solid and durable enough to survive everyday drops and bumps. The pocket clip is also metal with a reinforced center bar, making it much sturdier than the thin clips found on many small flashlights. It also has a magnet on the back, which is handy for sticking it to metal surfaces while working. The magnet isn't extremely strong, but it's more than enough to hold the light in place for most tasks.

Charging is done with USB-C. It does take a little while to fully charge, but the battery life is excellent and seems to last a long time between charges.

My only minor complaint is that the packaging mentions using it as a keychain flashlight, and there is a hole in the clip for attaching one, but it doesn't include a split key ring. That's a very small issue since it's easy to add your own.

Overall, this has become my go-to utility flashlight. I keep it by my front door so I can quickly grab it whenever I need to head outside at night. It's bright, versatile, well-built, and incredibly useful. For the size, performance, and quality, this is an easy five-star recommendation.

My girlfriend field tested this flashlight on her evening walks. She loved how it clips to shorts, secure. It is so lightweight, she forgot she was wearing it. I tested the light as I like my flashlights to be reliable in emergency. The magnet is strong. The light exceeded the specs. It is exceptionally bright. Do NOT look into the light. High quality aircraft aluminum. It is USB rechargeable. If it had AA battery option, for me, it would super ideal. This is perfect for neighborhood walks or maybe a overnight trip. Be advised this is not for long term camping or backcountry trips unless you have a power source to recharge, like solar. High quality and includes the traditional flashing red light for emergencies. Great back up to your big ole' flashlight. We like it!

I always need flashlights because I constantly lose them and have to replace them. I wasn't sure whether this flashlight would be decent just because of the large LED bulbs inside of it. The first time I turned it on, I actually exclaimed "Wow!!" The light on it is so bright! It's very lightweight and has a clip on it, so that if you're out walking, the bottom half of the light can light up without being blinding to passing by cars at night. I love the red and blue flashing feature, even though technically I don't think you're supposed to use it in public. I don't know that I would trust dropping this because while it is on the larger side, it doesn't feel like it could withstand too many drops without potentially breaking. I guess that's what the clip is for, right? ?? But seriously, this is a great little flashlight to have, and if you're working on something and need light, it's easy to just clip to your shirt or wherever it is that you need it to have it out of your hands so that you can actually work. I think that's a huge advantage of having the clip on the reverse side of the light itself rather than having the light at the bottom or end of the flashlight. Absolutely well worth it! The only complaint I have is that the magnet on the back side is relatively flimsy. I wouldn't trust leaving this on the front of a fridge that opens regularly because it doesn't stay put, lacking enough magnetic power to stay in place. I also don't see a battery life indicator, so that is something to be desired.

I got this clip-on flashlight to use for walking my dog at night. I have a couple of really good hand held flashlights, but they become hard to deal with when my dog (who refuses to be leash trained) decides to go wild. This clip-on flashlight has definitely proven to be the solution I needed to keep my hands free (to hold on for dear life) when my darling demon dog decides to go crazy for her own amusement while on her leash at night. This flashlight is great quality. I'm really impressed by how bright it is. It's not uncommon for my dog and I to encounter snakes on our walks during the day. I'm always scared we'll come across a poisonous snake at night, especially since they tend to hunt a lot at night when the daytime temperatures are high. This flashlight is so bright that it illuminates the entire area around and in front of me and my dog as we walk, ensuring I will be able to spot a snake and get away from it before we're close enough to it for any problems. My dog has proven to me that she will grab a snake if she sees it before I do so this flashlight lighting up such a huge area around and in front of us is so important for her safety and mine. I love that this flashlight has such a variety of settings. I will primarily use the super bright setting for walking my dog at night, but the multiple settings ensure that I'll be able to use the light for other tasks as well. It's nice that this light has a magnet on it. I actually use the magnet to put it on the side of my refrigerator so I can just grab it on the way by as I'm taking my dog out the back door. I've had this light to use for three nights. I've used it about seven times so far over the nights I've had it. Three of those times were for ten minutes or more. The others were two minutes or less. It's still running off the initial charge so I can't really say yet just how well it's going to hold a charge, but it does seem to be holding a charge pretty well so far. Overall, I absolutely love this flashlight. I feel it's worth the retail ($25) because it works so well and gives me so much peace of mind while I'm walking my dog at night. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs the convenience of a clip-on flashlight.

I live in a super dark old-timey town where ambient light is frowned upon and it can get darker than dark if there’s no moon so I own more flashlights than I care to admit. I have a favorite in every category from different sizes of handheld options to headlamps and more… previous to this little light, my ‘etcetera’ list was mournfully lacking. There was one magnetic option that I favored but it is a bit large and clunky, but I digress. Our focus here is on the Yzoni R3 EDC Flashlight in all of its rechargeable glory. You’ll find that it’s fully powered in no time and for the amount of light it puts out, the charge also lasts a good amount of time. Built on a clip, this light also features a magnet so it doesn’t matter if you need to light up something under your hood or in your hands because you’ll be ready. Honestly, my favorite headlamp is super bright and about this size but somehow I was still taken aback to see how much light this little guy puts out- seriously impressive. There’s really no learning curve: press the button on, press again to dim or hold the button to switch to flood. If you’ve made it this far there isn’t much more I can say except that this little gadget is worth every penny and already has a permanent place in my toolbox.
