This hood light is very bright and holds a charge well. Is it the best hood light in the shop? No. I would have to say that the rigid rechargeable hood lights that I have are better... but far more expensive. This light is well suited for packing in the vehicle for roadside repairs and I would have to say that it excels for that purpose. Easy to roll up and stow in my Jeep or pickup. Perfect for offroading. It's rubberized for water resistance and the switch is crisp. The hooks have padding so no worries about marring the paint job. The elastic strap seems durable and will adjust to accommodate a��wide��variety of hoods (pun intended). You can remove the strap, which is attached with a long velcro strip, and use it as a magnetic light strip. The angle of lighting is also adjustable by the use of swivel fasteners integrated into the strap.

The underhood work light is a versatile and flexible light fixture providing bright lighting. I have used this light as designed, under the hood, and wrapped it around my waist and used while walking, and or looking for something outside in the dark. I have not timed the battery life however the battery life is very good. This is a great versatile light, I highly recommend.
I have limited light in my garage and this product has help introduce 10x more light for all my garage projects. Very versatile with magnets and belt to use on almost any surface. Battery life has been great. Be aware - this light is very bright. Great for many uses indoors and outside.
Love how bright this light is. Not bulky, thin, can use with velcro or magnet. I use it as a light on the side of my ice cream truck over my menu board.
I am a light snob whether it is headlights, flashlights or this light. This is a very well made light, it is FLEXIBLE to get in any spot, it is pretty weather resistant and it has an adjustable strap to suspend it to most anything and it has two settings and they are bright and brighter. Still one of the best, and cheapest, under hood lamps I have seen. I would buy another one.
