Great product! Very bright light and loved the light features

This is a versatile wearable running light, perfect for evening routines - dog walking, night cycling, checking the mailbox, or any task where you need hands-free illumination. The device features a strong clip that attaches securely to a backpack strap or pocket. It has a compact footprint and is featherlight, so it doesn't bounce around or weigh down your clothing. The control switch is well-placed and responsive. Minimalist, practical build.

It offers 4 brightness levels, include a red strobe mode. The beam is a wide, soft floodlight rather than a focused spotlight; it lights up the path directly ahead of you effectively, but the lower setting is gentle enough that you can read a map or check your watch without ruining your night vision. The red strobe function is visible but not aggressive, making it great for neighborhood visibility.

Straight from the package, it had enough juice for a quick test run. Upon plugging it in to top it up, the indicator light is red. Once the cycle is finished, the light turns solid green to let you know it's ready.

So, the verdict: Smart concept, sleek profile, and does exactly what it promises.

Worked well; liked the dimmer option. Very lightweight because it's plastic; broke after only a few months. Decided not to replace. Not sure the cost is worth it. We will look for something sturdier.

Better than expected. On low the light lasted all night. Does not look very waterproof, no cover over USB charge port.

I mainly got this lantern because I have a bunch of extra 18650 batteries and I thought this would be a cute little light I could have handy for power outages and have a good set of extra batteries to pop in. I wasn't disappointed there. Replacing the battery on this is super easy, barely an inconvenience. You just unscrew the entire bottom plate and there's the battery compartment. Just a basic compartment with a spring for the negative and a button for the positive. It had no problems at all with my unprotected flat-top 18650 batteries.

In fact, the battery it came with is a flat top, unprotected 18650. Which surprised me because you can charge the battery using the included USB cable, and I would have assumed they cheaped out and used protected cells. Since it's a flat-top battery I'm assuming the charging feature is at least intelligent enough to stop charging the battery when it reaches max voltage of 4.1 or whatever they have it set to. I don't see any temperature sensing probe so I'm not sure I'd really trust it.

In my case I plan to just have charged cells available using my intelligent external 4-port charger and I'll probably never use the built in charging, but I could if I had to, in a pinch.

The included battery only measured out at 860 mAh which is pretty weak for an 18650 cell. I've pulled stronger *used* batteries from various things, but it's all good. I didn't buy this for the included battery... goodness knows I've got a lot of them already. I'll probably keep a handful of stronger 2000+ mAh batteries handy and just use those, stuffing this puny one into my drawer of other old ones "just in case".

I did a runtime test of the included battery just to get an idea. At max brightness it made it to about 1.5 hours before I really noticed it dimming. At about the 2.5 hour mark it was down quite a bit, and it's now 5 hours and the light output is so dim it would be hard to see anything in an unlit room, but as a night light or something it's still hanging in there.

Before starting my test, I topped it off using my external charger and it was at a healthy 4.1V. Just now after 5 hours on max it was reading just a little over 2.5V so it really does keep on going and going. I'm not so sure there's a cutoff where it would shut itself down below a certain voltage to protect the battery which is disconcerting. Maybe I'll sacrifice this included battery and let it keep running down until either the light stops entirely or it does some kind of internal shutdown. One way or the other I'll let it keep going until there's no light and then check the voltage to see where it's at. Since I wouldn't know for sure if it shut off or if there's simply not enough voltage to drive the LED strips, I'll let it go a little longer after that and see if the voltage dropped any further, and I'll update my review with whatever I discover.

In any case, it's a good looking lantern. Lightweight (it's just plastic after all) but I think it'll be a good back up light source for power outages or just going camping with.

ADDENDUM: I did a follow up test using my own 2000 mAh battery and it lasted about 3.5 hours on the max brightness before I noticed it dimming. It started out with a full 4.16V charge and after 3.5 hours it was down to 2.6V which should be about the point where a good system would shut it down, but this lantern didn't. I still like the lantern but you should be aware it doesn't seem to have a safe cutoff point.

On the included battery, I let it keep running for over 24 hours and it was still putting out light but not very much. The voltage on the battery got down to 2.45 V and I finally stopped the test. It was using so little energy when the light was super dim (because of the low voltage) that it took about 20 hours to drop from 2.52 to 2.45 volts... really just sipping it there. At some point I'm sure it would have shut off entirely because the LED strips need a certain voltage to work at all, so I guess if you left it on somewhere and forgot about it for days or weeks, it would hit some point where it can't work and maybe that would protect your battery, although there would still be a parasitic draw.

On the "bright" side, I noticed that if you take out the battery entirely, you can operate the light just fine using the charging cable plugged into a USB port. That means, if you want, you could operate this lantern entirely from an external power bank, which might be something I'd do. I'm building a couple power banks using 8-10 18650 or 21700 batteries with a USB output, and something like that would power this lantern at full brightness for at least a day, or multiple days in the case of a 8x21700 battery pack.

When the charging cable is plugged in, it seems to constantly output around 3.6-3.7 volts to the battery terminals, even if no battery is installed. That's enough to run the lights for sure, but if that's all the voltage it's applying to charge the battery, that's really just a "storage" ...

Wish it was a little bigger but it works fine in my cabins small bathroom. If power goes out, I can just turn it on.

Works good for what it is use it while camping in the tent as a night light for the grand kids while on the low setting will last 2 or 3 night

Great addition to my camping lights

I'll try to convey certain experiences I've had.

a) this is not a camping lantern. It's an ornament.
If you are looking for a real one, buy at least IPX4 waterproofing.
Go over 4000mAh for duration. Preferably 7000mAh.
Look at the construction for roughness. And a heavy frost.
Of course, be prepared to pay over 50 bucks.

b) At price point, you should know the battery is garbage.
Buy a 18650 ( Japanese or Korean) with at least true 3400mAh.
They will set you back around 12-15 dollars. But worth it.
The original battery is around 1100mAh. Tested.

c) Finally, please, don't just turn on the light.
Rotate the switch to the right 'till the end.
The last 10% is where the power is. This is known as a dimmer.
This lamp is around 700 true lumens. According to the luxmeter.
If you keep it at this extreme power for long, you're bound to burn the cobs.
Or exhaust the cheap battery.

It is a very nice looking light and a conversation piece. Its smaller than I originally thought and not as bright. But it will be perfect for camping, where you don't need a lot of light.

When the power goes out this little light works well .
