Questions&Answers

Question: How bright is lantern mode? I know it is hard to describe brightness but looking to illuminate a backyard.

Answer: It illuminates my master bedroom. I have not tried it in a backyard. But it is bright enough to read by on the high setting of the lantern mode. I also like the low setting when I need it in the middle of the night and don't want to wake my husband.

Question: Does this have a far "throw" beam distance? Thanks

Answer: I would say yes, especially compared to our old incandescent lanterns and flashlights. I've shown the spotlight down our street on a night and seen it reflecting off of cars that I know are over a hundred yards away. It also penetrates way into the woods across the street and up the hill, though that is harder to estimate the actual distance.
