Question: How bright does this get? Would it be easy to see around an entire large tent with it?

Answer: Yes it throws quite a bit of light and is adjustable with a rotatable button. It lights up a few feet of space around itself. 

Question: How long will these continually last?

Answer: We have used our lantern two or three times a week both outside on the patio and inside as well. Never have had to replace any bulbs. Have enjoyed it very much!
