Question: Are wireless motion sensor lights worth it?
Answer: In the case of a home break-in, wireless motion sensor lights may deter criminals who would have otherwise gone unnoticed. It's an effective way to improve your home security without spending a lot of money on a security system.
Question: Do wireless motion sensor light switches save energy?
Answer: Yes. You see them more and more in corporate and public spaces because they are convenient for employees and shut off after continued inactivity, significantly reducing energy expenses.
Question: Are they OK outdoors in the weather?
Answer: In a shed, sure. In full outdoor climate, no. They are not weatherproof. They are perfect for, under cabinets, closets, and places you just need a little more light at times. I have a few of mine ready to go that I did not use adhesive on that I moved around with me during a recent power failure. They are a wonderful little item for the price.
Question: How long is the battery life?
Answer: Battery life is pretty good. Obviously, it depends on the frequency of use. The one I have in my pantry has been going strong for 6 months and counting. The one I have in the hallway lasts 3 - 4 weeks.
